FasTick RT Features

The FasTick RT system has three components:

  • Caching Server
The Caching Server is responsible for recording all incoming transactions from the exchanges or data aggregators. We have tested the Caching Server with a simulated flow of sustained 100,000 transactions per second. On a busy day the exchanges typically send no more than 4,000 to 6,000 transactions per second. The Caching Server can accept all types of data structures. The queue is FIFO based and purging to the historical drainer can be induced manually or time frame based.

  • Real Time Server
The Real Time Server is a socket based server that accepts data request from other servers or clients. There are no delays retrieving data from the Caching Server and posting to clients.

  • Query Server
The Query Server is a socket based server. Client applications can retrieve real time quotes and trades as well as historical data simultaneously. Real time quoting machines and trading systems can be connected to the Real Time Server.
